The Great Expectations survey, conducted by Age of Majority for Restaura Hospitality Group in August 2024, asked 1,485 adults aged from 55 to 96 about their dining preferences. The results showed that while 68% want a variety of meal options that reflect their personal tastes, only 17% felt very confident that senior living communities could meet those expectations. Just over one in five said they’d prioritize having access to multiple dining venues, but a much larger 65% said they value the freedom to cook for themselves, eat out, or order takeout when they choose.
