According to this survey conducted by Restaura Hospitality Group, a leading food service provider for senior living communities, 69% of baby boomers say they plan to age in place. While many assume this decision is driven by concerns over care quality or a desire to remain in familiar surroundings, the study reveals that mealtime plays a big role. For many older adults, the freedom to choose what they eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner is a major reason why they prefer to stay in their own homes rather than move to a senior living facility.
